Skiing Into Flavour
Here's a Soda I've been wanting to try for a while now and I finally got my hands on one, (thanks to my wife's recent trip to Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati). I'm always up for a good citrus Soda and Ski did not disappoint.
The Soda has an initial aroma that's a bit citrus and a touch of sweet, just a hint as to what is to come. It is very effervescent, bubbles up fast and crisp and doesn't lose its fizz very fast. It also serves to let loose its citrus aroma even more.
The flavour is very upfront and very citrusy, with orange being the predominate flavour that comes through. It does have a lemony addition, too, so nothing is lost here. There is a citrus and CO2 bite to Ski that makes it nice to drink. There is a sweet aftertaste that lingers with some citrus notes. You'll know you've been drinking a Sugar sweetened citrus Soda with this one, (I cannot speak to their other canned and plastic bottle offerings. I don't know that they are Sugar sweetened). All in all Ski is a good representative of the Citrus Soda genre. Well worth drinking and having around. If you can't find it locally, Ski is available from Amazon.
